In this lab there were five different stations. For the first station we had to determine an unknown mass and the percent difference. To find the unknown mass we set up the equation Fleft*dleft = Fright*dright. We then substituted in the values (26.05 N * 41cm = 34cm * x N) and solved for Fright to get (320.5g). To determine the percent difference we used the formula Abs[((Value 1 - Value 2) / average of 1 & 2) * 100], substituted the values (Abs[((320.5 - 315.8) /
Did you know 1 in 5 Canadians will experience some form of mental illness. Some will experience it to a greater degree than others. Anise, the main character of the book Gravity Journal by Gail Sidonie Sobat, is one of many one in five. She has anorexia and depression and is hospitalized for the second time because of it. She spends her hospital stays in ward 4-psych-o, a very ironically named ward.
Gravity is caused by the penetration of the centers of the sun and planets without any diminution, according to Sir Isaac Newton. Francis Bacon, English philosopher of science, believes that science make little progress because there isn’t a specific goal sciences just keep providing new discoveries.
Porter five forces analysis is a framework to analyze the level of competition within an industry and business (Wikipedia). Taking Talladega College for example as an industry. The five forces are as followed: buyers the current students, suppliers the alumni and investors, new entries the community college CACC, substitute the online classes and the fast track, and competition the PWI’s and other HBCU’s. The current students are the buyers because they are paying to attend Talladega College, parents are paying out of pocket while others use financial aid and scholarship and loans. Without the students, the college wouldn’t be able to provide the service of a higher education in return for revenue, Talladega College main objective is to provide higher education for future leaders.
The problems we found during the lab were that the spring scales were not calibrated or they were broken. We also had some bad data on the second scale (.06, 1) it was a lot of weight compared to the mass, and you can see on the graph that it is in a weird place and not near the line of best fit. Non of those errors messed up the lab too much. Since Fg=m*g, an acceleration due to gravity (g) on earth is always 9.8m/s^2. Theory says that the more mass the more weigh.
The question is, how does a physical or chemical change affect the mass of a substance within a closed system? To respond to this question, my group did a lab to determine whether or not the mass would change or not. Our lab was to have a plastic bag containing baking soda, then add a cup of vinegar and a block of clay to the mix. We made sure to weight every element separately and then add them up for our total mass of 31 grams before the reaction. During the reaction, as soon as the vinegar was poured in there was a gas produced, bubbles.
El Líder, the leader of the Cuban Revolution once said, “A revolution is a struggle to the death between the future and the past.” He is saying that a revolution is an event that changes the future and leaves the past behind. Similar to El Líder, George Washington was an extremely influential leader of the American Revolution. This quote relates directly to understanding why the Cuban and American Revolution occurred, and what its role is from Dreaming in Cuban. Although taking place in different time periods, similarities and differences exist between the leaders of the American and the Cuban Revolution; likewise, similarities and differences present themselves between the cause and conclusion of both revolutions.
Centrifugal forces are forces are forces that tend to drive a nation apart, rather than unite a nation. During the past half century in the United States, many centrifugal forces have affected this country continuously. One especially challenging force is the huge amount of diversity in the United States. Different religions, languages, culture, customs, immigrants, and ethnic groups clash against each other. This raises the issue of racism, which makes many minorities feel discriminated against.
Be looking at the forming solar system, scientists can better understand how our solar system was formed. Gravity was a major part of the unit. When mass increased, gravity and velocity increased as well. Using an online simulation, we collected data. When the star mass was .5 solar masses, the velocity was 21 km/s. When the star mass was
(As a side note, Venus and Mercury have no moons so their masses are determined by measuring their influence on other planets and deflection of comets that pass near them. As this is not 100% accurate, spacecrafts have
To calculate an object’s gravitational potential energy, use the equation GPE = mgh. The m in the equation represents the mass, in kilograms, of the object, g is the acceleration due to gravity (9.8 m/s), and h is the height of the object above the ground in meters.
Professor Isaac Newton got interrupted from a pleasant slumber by a rude apple descending from a tree, the fact it was a pear tree implies concussion took force and he over speculated the reason. To put a finer term to it, Newton was inebriated. Amiably to cover up the embarrassment he conjured up a churlish theorem, he called it the nature of gravitation. Fortunately in 1666 no being had ever deciphered over the concept of slimming and grandiose bodies weighed the same as newborn babies. The idea a smaller entity bungee jumped into the world had his Pa's nose, feet, rubby fat fingers, podgy complexion equated to being the exact weight of the seed provider; for the little one was merely a clone of his Pa and so body mass must be an exact replica of the parent's BMI.
Mickey Ngobeni Research Question: Is the movie ‘Gravity’, according to Newton’s laws and physics in general, accurate? Introduction: ‘Gravity’ is a sci-fi, techno-thriller movie that has its plot’s setting based in space. Astronauts (main characters: Sandra Bullock as ‘Dr. Ryan Stone’ and George Clooney as ‘Matt Kolwaski’) are sent into space, yet encounter a series of events, most of which is susceptible to occur in outer space (Foogray, 2015). Questions have risen as to how accurate the movie is according to physics and Newton’s law, and many have been answered.
1. What we know about profit pools is that: ‘Profits don’t necessarily follow revenues’ and that ‘Today’s deep revenue pool may become tomorrow’s dry hole’. In this article we are focusing on Apple and the way how it managed to recognize the variability of profit, and along with it, could find out the best way of realizing it. Apple has three main businesses as top priority: Macintosh, iPod-iTunes and iPhone. These are the pioneers of superior improvement in PC, music and smartphone industries.
