Νίκα, Goddess in Training Back when the world was still young, the gods created a plan. Their plan was for any mortal to stay mortal, unable to ‘talk’ to the gods and for any immortal to stay immortal, unable to ‘talk’ to mortals. If this plan was put into action the gods would rule the Earth and the mortals would be under their control. When the mortals heard of this plan they were enraged. The mortals thought that this was unfair, after all, the mortals should have a way to ‘talk’ to the gods. They fought back and told the gods that they wanted to help make decisions, but what did the gods do? The gods just pushed their request away like a burnt piece of toast. When the mortals were turned away, they tried again. They kept trying until the gods finally listened. When the gods considered the request they could not decide whether to accept or not. In that tower lived a girl named Νίκα. Νίκα was half mortal and half immortal. Her mother was Nike, the goddess of victory, and her father was a mortal of high ranking. Νίκα was being kept prisoner by the gods because they did not want her wreaking havoc in the mortal world. Νίκα was mad that the gods thought she would do that. When the keeper of the tower, Chaos (the primeval state of existence), heard about the civil war between the gods, he had to go fight for what he thought. In the time between when Chaos left and when the new keeper arrived, Νίκα escaped. She ran away to find the one person who could help her become a goddess,
