Abstract
This paper explores the history of the Green Bay Packers from start to now. It will include things like the records held by the players and the team. It will also have information like their 27 pro football hall of famers, the 13 World Championships and the numerous records held. In addition this paper will also address there three rivals the Bears, Lions, and the Vikings.
Lombardi was a cruel, kind, tough, gentle, miserable, wonderful man, who I often hate, often love and always respect("Packer Quotes"). Packers have a very rich history including 13 World Championships and 22 Pro Football Hall of Famers.

They played against amuture teams from Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. Lambeau, a shipping clerk for the Indian Packing Company, convinced his employer to donate money for the uniforms and, in the process, lent the nickname “Packers” to the team(The Editors of Encyclopædia Britannica, "Green Bay Packers (American football team)"). However, the team struggled with financial problems to the point of having to forfeit an entire season. Smiley was a Packer from 1940-1941 The guard and linebacker from the University of Georgia never scored a touchdown in the National Football League or earned All-Pro recognition(HENDRICKS, "'Smiley' gave all for Packers, country"). Johnson was simply a solid young reserve on coach Earl "Curly" Lambeau's teams yet Johnson holds a special place in Green Bay lore as the only Packer to give his life in service to his country. A display at the entrance to the Green Bay Packers' Hall of Fame honors Johnson, a U.S. Marine who fought in World War II and was killed in Iwo Jima on Feb. 19, 1945(HENDRICKS, "'Smiley' gave all for Packers, country").
