Green sea turtles are an endangered species with a drastically reduced population sizes of 3 to 4 feet. A typical green sea turtle grows to a maximum size of about 4 feet and weight about 440 pounds. They have a heart-shaped shell, small head, and single-clawed flippers. Sea turtles range can be olive-green, yellow, greenish-brown, reddish-brown, or black in color. As for the hatchlings, they generally have a black carapace, white plastron, and white margins on the shell and limbs. The adult carapaces are smooth, and light to dark brown with dark mottling, and the plastron has a whitish to light yellow color (Anita, 2014). Green sea turtles live in warm subtropical and tropical ocean; therefore, green sea turtles have ocean water habitats
