Ø What tactics do they use? Greenpeace is something that is the first special interest group that came to mind. I live in Vancouver Washington and have spent a lot of time down on the Oregon Coast, and became a big fan of Keiko the Orca that lived there for several years until they took him to Iceland and let him know what freedom was before he died. Their agenda is wide spread from global warming issues to protecting the arctic ocean, and all of earths’ oceans, protecting our forests, protecting animal species of our planet and being able to live toxic free. And to promote sustainable organic agriculture, because going organic is very expensive but it is better for you. This is another special interest group that I am interested because they believe in the same things I believe in by protecting our endangered wildlife such as the wolves. My uncle is a cattle rancher in Montana and he believes as I do that there are other ways of protecting his animal stock without killing the wild animals that live in his area. He is a strong supporter of alternate methods to build and maintain a successful business without killing wildlife. This is one site that I feel strongly about as I feel about Greenpeace, it is known as Earth Justice, it was founded by a group of lawyers to protect animal species of our forests such as the Grey wolves, Wild lands, Ocean Ecosystem, Arctic, Clean Air and Water, Oil and Gas drilling, Coal, Clean Energy, Climate Change, they fight for the environment. Their agenda and or mission are similar to that of Greenpeace except the fact that a group of lawyers are spearheading this special interest group.
