Firstly, analog wristwatch will be grouped with other time-measuring devices, which are sundials, clepsydras, hourglasses, pocket watches and digital watches with date indicator, because they all indicate time, either as a specific time or the passage of time passed. So, when people refer to these devices, they can figure out what time it is of a day. According to the Oxford dictionary, sundial shows the time by shadow of a pointer cast by the sun on a plate marked with the hours of the day, while aclepsydra indicates time by a flow of water. A certain amount of water flows into another vessel with markings, and people measure the amount of water flowed to know the time of a day. Wall calendar are put onto walls, so people can always refer to it when they arrange their daily activities, whereas pocket calendar is often carried along by people, so they can jot down important events for the future. Yet, Gregorian calendar is the general idea of the length of time in a year which has been embedded in both wall calendar and pocket calendar. Gregorian calendar proclaimed by Pope Gregory suggests that "no century year is a leap year unless it is exactly divisible by 400," according to Encyclopedia Britannia. Zodiac, according to Oxford dictionary, "is a belt of the heavens within about 8° either side of the ecliptic, inclduing all apparent positions of the sun, moon and most familiar planets." Similarly, instead of measuring the time of a day or outlining the length of time in a year, Zodiac shows the ecliptic system and the path of sun. Divided into twelve signs named Capricorn, Leo, Taurus etc., Zodiac is often referred to as zodiac signs, with which some people interpret their fortune in a new year, personalities, strengths and weaknesses. On the other hand, according to ENGLISH HERITAGE, Stonehenge, a historical temple, was designed to align with the movements of the sun and can frame at least two significant events in the annual solar cycle –the midwinter sunset and the midsummer sunrise. While some cultures regard midwinter as the day that winter starts, "midwinter" itself refers to the shortest day of the year. Farmers in the ancient time can then plan their arigcultural schedule accoding to records of Stonehenge.
