TGriselda Blanco was a notorious drug lord from Colombia who rose to the top of the underworld with her ruthlessness and resourcefulness. She earned the nickname "La Madrina," or "The Godmother," for arranging some of the most daring, complex smuggling operations of her time - all while exhibiting an airy nonchalance toward authority and its effects on her empire. Her dark legacy lives on despite her death in 2012, remembered as one of the most compelling figures in criminal history. She grew up poor and was forced to fend for herself from an early age, she was the only child, and her parents didn’t pay attention to her, so she must have been extremely lonely. Both her father and her mother had no background of having any jobs, when Griselda was three, she moved to Medellin, Columbia. When Ana Lucia Restrepo moved to Medellin, Columbia she brought three-year-old Griselda with her, and after that her dad was never mentioned again. Alberto was a drug trafficker, and helped Griselda get involved with trafficking drugs eventually they started a drug trading business together which led to bringing the trades into the United State, which is where they resigned for a couple years. Griselda came up with the great idea to make lingerie with secret compartments hence making it easier to smuggle drugs from and to the United States. Their relationship ended soon after unfortunately, their relationship ended when Griselda found out that he had been stealing from her the whole time they had been working together, and she shot him. Griselda then became the “Black Widow” since she was merciless and was cold hearted enough to order death on her husbands or just shoot them
