I’m sure we have all heard about the saying, “Champions aren't born, They are made”. You can think of grit as basically the same thing. During the article you can stumble upon the question of whether grit is something people are born with, or if it can be taught. I firmly believe that grit is a trait that can be taught and be perfected, there is no way someone can be born with this trait. I personally also feel like it would help me a lot if I learned this really beneficial trait. Since grit is a personality trait, it is malleable. Someone is not born responsible, it is taught to them by their parents and the trait slowly begins to form on the person. The coach frequently talked to us about never giving up, you can think about not giving up as a personality trait. Not giving up is something that is hard for us to do, it is hard because we have no prior knowledge on how to stop giving up, unless it is taught to us.
