The description of each movements and explanation on why those movements were chosen. Motor skills are divided into two categories. There are fine motor skills and gross motor skills. The gross motor skills are spilt into three types. The types of gross motor skills are locomotor skill, non-locomotor skill, and manipulative skill. In our planning of exercise routine, we are focused on two types of gross motor skills. There are locomotor skill and non-locomotor skill. First and foremost, the exercise routine that planned by our group is targeted to the children from the age group of five. According to Rae Pica (2008), locomotor skills is defined as the moving skill that deliver the body from one point to another point. On the other hand, non-locomotor skill is defined as the action performs in the same spot while lying, standing or sitting. There are three locomotor movements that we introduced in our exercise routine: gallop, jump and slide. One of the non-locomotor movements is stretching. According to Rae Pica (2008), stretching is the movement that performs by extending the body, several body parts and joints vertically, horizontally or in several directions such as left and right, and, up and down. In our exercise routine, we introduce the children to pretend stretching like a lazy bear which just awake from its nap. The reason for us to introduce the movement of pretending a lazy bear because, according to ___, children at the age between three to five, they will be more interested in pretending to be something than to do something.
