1. What types of groups are offered in your agency (employment or internship)? Be sure to focus on task groups as well as treatment groups.
At my internship and placed of employment there are different kinds of groups that are offered.

a. Task groups:
In my placement area task group is also called clinician task groups. This group meet on a weekly basis to assist in client needs .They review cases and try to find how to resolve conflicts that client bring into session. Every member has the opportunity to talk about their cases and issues that needs to be addressed with clients and with staffs. One of the group is the Dialectal behavior therapy group (DBT). It is used for cognitive behavior treatment. In this group client have the opportunity to interact with other team group members for concerns, supports and each get to listen to each member situations that they are confronting. Sometimes it is center client and other times it is the staff that they take control when trying to decrease a behavior that could harm the client or other person. There are time that structure interventions are needed in order to modify a maladaptive behavior. Clients are educated in how to decrease bad behaviors by reading behaviors article. This article shows them how to change and views things from a different perspective. At the end of the group sessions meditation is perform to calm and for relaxation as therapy. There are days that the staff meets with group members after group sessions to address any needs or situation that could decreased behavior for correction of behaviors such as violence or threat. Escalation of issues and follow through are done with staff member. Positive feedback are reinforce by client conducts when they are trying their most to succeed and put in practice what they have learned. This has been the best job that I have ever had. This is because of the union in team member .There is a lot of support between team group and supervisor. When it comes to our work we are committed to work as one whole team. There is full communications between all the members in the team and with supervisor. Everyone in the team have different special skills in which we all integrated them for the success of the program and the agency. When one of the team members does not know an information everyone support each other and information is provided. One of the many components that I love and enjoy in the agency that I work for The Resource Center, is that when feedback is provided it is done in a professional manner and humanly aspect.
