Everyone hates paying full prices activities, restaurants, shopping, and other things. Back in 2008, a University of Chicago graduate student named Andrew Mason was struggling to explore Chicago because he kept finding the same things to do since a lot of the things he wanted to do cost too much money. This led Mason, to start a website called Groupon, which will offer discounts and coupons to people that will make activities, restaurants, shopping, and other things. Mason idea grew rapidly throughout Chicago, which later expanded to 375 cities and now forty-eight countries. In Groupon fourth full function year as a company, they generated over five billion in gross billings. A huge reason why Groupon has become so successful since it became a known company is that they offer their users discounts and coupons to their customers every day. One thing that might make somebody think is how can Groupon, the merchants, and the customers be all be satisfied. Well, an example of this is a yoga studio might offer a hundred-dollar membership for fifty dollars if two-hundred people sign for the studio. The Groupon Promise is the that any customer can return a Groupon no questions asked. That even if they used it and also if they didn’t like the product, and if they feel that Groupon has let them down. This really surprising to see because rarely do you a business or company let you return something that you bought and used. Another thing that Groupon started to do is that they offer deal-of-the-day offerings. Which will allow customers and Groupon users to purchase tickets to concerts, sporting events, theatrical performance, or any live form of entertainment that they might want. Groupon also offers travel experiences in two different ways. Those ways are either bookings or as a voucher. Another that stood out for me was Groupon new concept that they came up with is called pull (). Pull allows a customer to search thousands of deals that they can buy and use instantly. Customer who want to use the service they need go to the smartphone and select nearby. This will bring instant deals to the customer phone.
