In “Forget Gun Control. America Needs Fallacy Control.”, Michelle Malkin, the author, mainly talks against outspoken celebrities on the argument of gun control. In response to such celebrities as Jimmy Kimmel and Billy Baldwin, Malkin points out the unfactual statements they claim. She believes feelings, outbursts, and emotional responses by these celebrities should not be taken over critical thinking. Michelle Malkin effectively goes against these emotional outbursts by these many Hollywood celebrities.

The article “The Dirty Secret About The Four Senate Gun Control Bills” by John R. Lott points out that all the gun control laws aren’t helping anything. John starts off by talking about the Orlando massacre, and how the government was trying to help prevent that. Then he goes on to talk about the senate gun control laws trying to be passed for the purpose of stopping shootings such as the Orlando Massacre. But the fact is that the gun control bills, if passed before the Orlando Massacre, would have done nothing to prevent it. The bills just didn’t do anything to help prevent the massacre.

Gun Control in the United States Gun control in the United States has become a highly contested topic recently due to the mass shootings that have occurred. The Federal Bureau of Investigation defines mass murder as a murder in which four or more people are killed in one incident (Morton). Over the past decade the topic of gun control has been prevalent in new legislation because mass shootings seem more frequent. Statistics reveal that although mass shootings have not become more frequent over the years, they have become deadlier with higher death tolls than ever before. The firearms and ammunition that civilians are able to obtain since the expiration of the Assault Weapons Ban in 2004 have led to the increase in the death toll (Duwe).

Gun control problems Nowadays, we can hear the crimes related to guns from time to time, and each of them is scarified and influential. For example, the accident happened in Sandy Hook Elementary School leads to 20 deaths for primacy school students and 6 deaths for staffs. It is hard to imagine what degree of sadness in their family may suffer. In this way, many people think the government should have stronger gun control regulations.
