Guns are the weapon which can be used for self-defense and protecting peoples but never hurting anyone. According to me government should restrict or normalize the use of guns by selling to people, because there are some good peoples who use gun for hunting, shooting practice and competition. In a nation of pioneers and settlers, where we capitalize upon a bear wielding a firearm to represent “our right to bear arms” there has come to be quite a bit of bloodshed because of that right. Not having gun control would have more criminals walking around with guns and in just a few seconds, able to pull the trigger and kill an innocent man, woman, kid, or an elder. Gun control is good idea, because there should even be anyone having a gun except for the police, and for emergency's only. Citizens should not have to worry because they dial 911 or 112 for an emergency situation. In America, gun violence have been on a rise after the Oregon Community College, but in Australia, they have strict gun control policy, because of that they have less suicides, less random crimes, and overall less violence. In the past, the major gun control legislations that have been put into effect have not stopped people from obtaining firearms (Gun Control.) There have also been cases in the past where cities have attempted to ban handguns. After the ban was put into effect, murder rates tended to rise instead of drop, unlike what most people might assume. Crime rates and violence also skyrocketed after the bans were put into effect. Another problem with taking guns away, or banning them, is that the government cannot expect everyone to abide by the laws.
Anyone that thinks gun control is the answer to the killing that is going on is wrong! Nothing will change until parents start teaching their children right from wrong. Gun Control is too much of a political something you do to win a battle or to get what you want and failing. Politicians talks about the need to increase gun restrictions to stop gun crime, but new and current gun laws are designed to fail in order to allow certain people to own them and make unhappy because of not having a vote others.
Im assuming that no one in here will ever go out and commit a violent crime involving a firearm. However i cant guarantee that some people we are around everyday will not be involved in a violent crime. I'd like to tell you today why gun control should not be put into large scale effect . I'd like to bring up the number of violent crimes involving firearms in the united states in the year of 2013 before the bulk of the gun control movement had started (refer to chart). IN the year 2013 there were 16,121 homicides nation wide and out of that number 11,208 of them were caused by a firearm of those deaths approximately 750 of the murders were committed with an illegally owned firearm which shows that you do not have to be a felon that is unable to possess a firearm in order to take someones life with one.
Gun control laws may restrict these people who are responsible from defending themselves. So honestly gun control contradicts itself as much as it helps. For starters does gun laws really deter crime. No, honestly gun control does not deter crime in all cases.
Gun control also limits our constitutionally derived right to own firearms. If gun control is enforced, law-abiding citizens will be forced to give up their guns and their right to own guns, while many criminals who own guns may illegally keep theirs. As the saying goes “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.” Guns are an important aspect of our society in many ways. They allow for protection, recreation, and hunting.
