Hamlet was asked by his father's ghost to kill claudius and leave his mother gertrude out of it (Act 3 scene 2). Hamlet promised to avenge his father's death. But he doesn't take action knowing her has a reason to. Hamlet has a chance to kill claudius while he is praying but doesn’t because he wanted him to go to hell (act 2 scene 2). Hamlet has a plan to set up a play to act out his father's death. Claudius acted just as he was supposed to when he seen the the play. He still did not take action. Hamlet also had the chance to kill Claudius when praying but still does not. In act 4 scene 4, Hamlet hamlet is on the way to England where he runs into young fortinbras , the prince of Norway. Hamlet is inspired by fortinbras and his passion and determination to fight. Fortinbras has also lost his father and now is seeking revenge. But, while hamlet sits around contemplating life and death, Fortinbras takes clear and immediate action by raising an arm to reclaim Norway’s lost territories. There is an old parable that says “ There is nothing new under the sun, this parable means that there really isn’t anything that has happened to mankind what has not been already experienced. We can use the vivid story of Hamlet as a guide in how to react to certain situations and specific situations in this world. Hamlet is relevant today for many reasons. One of the most important is that we still feel inspired to ponder the purpose of life and to wonder what we would do in horrendous circumstances. The tragedy of Prince Hamlet is timeless in that respect. How would I respond if the man closest to me who I loved utterly betrayed me? How would I respond if my father challenged me to do something that would completely destroy me and yet was so obviously necessary that I couldn’t avoid it? How could I live with myself if my actions caused the woman I love to kill
