I believed it was too late, that I was too far into my world, and believed no one could help me come out. I was alone and had no one to turn to for support. That was how it felt for a moment, and even when I had others support me, the guidance they gave me didn't work, and I felt lost. Even though my experience differs from those in the book, I, too, felt powerless as I saw my entire world crumble in front of me, being too afraid to move or speak, and simply watching the world go by. All of these things I share with them. But I decided to see it in a brighter way. I prefer to think of it this way: they got through it, and thus I can too.
