plato Essay Fahrenheit 451 Technology has a major impact in the american society in the book of fahrenheit 451. One thing that has had been impacted if not destroyed is human interaction. When montag tries to talk to mildred she never really talks back. Also for two years she always sits on her music playing device and has been there every night when montag comes home for the past two years. The social interaction of people has alzo been affected, mildred clearly states that her social skills are not good at all compared to everyone else and stays inside and watches a TV program called “family” on three full-wall screens. A big reason why technology is destroying america is so many suicides. While talking to mildred she tried to kill herself by using pills to poison her blood, giving her a slow painless death. Their was another suicide incident, a man gave a mechanical dog his own chemical biology and the dog then attacked which killed him.
