Rowling is a British author commended on her bestselling novel series ‘Harry Potter’. This series has sold over 400 million copies in the first book alone and over 500 million copies worldwide. J.K. Rowling has had an impact unimaginable and should clearly be inducted into the literary hall of fame. Her writing style has influenced many to write with her detail to character depth and the ability to make the impossible a reality in the eyes of millions. Rowling should be inducted into the literary hall of fame with her overwhelming impact on hundreds of millions of people. This is exemplified in the following, “Since the 90s, it seems like Harry Potter has always been there, enthralling millions of kids, teens, and even adults in its creative books and movies. Since the creation of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by JK Rowling, it has been cemented in our culture and society, with hundreds of millions dreaming they could live in the magical world ( M.Onorato, 2011).” It is evident that J.K. Rowling did not set off wanting to have fame and fortune, but rather create an alternate view on everything that we know with her amazing literary techniques and traits. She took advantage of her fame and wealth to help the issues plaguing the world and is one of few authors who has provided back to the people who helped her reach this point. J.K. Rowling is one of the best to ever write, and should certainly be inducted, after all what kind of example are we really setting to those who have received her contributions first hand if she is not inducted?
