President Harry Truman was a successful president by definition. He was thrust into power as the thirty-third president of the United States after the rapid decline of President Theodore Roosevelt's health. This paper is organized around several major successes of President Truman, but mainly focusing on his twenty-one point plan of reform, also known as The Fair Deal, and the Manhattan Project. In regard to Richard Neustadt’s terms, a president should be evaluated on his or her ability to persuade. Put simply, it does not matter if any adversaries disagree if you are able to persuade them otherwise.

The President Truman Harry Truman was born on May 8, 1884 in the house of farmer in Missouri and was the eldest among all of his siblings. Harry Truman completed his study until the high school and had not attended the college life, after which he had done various jobs as a clerk, time keeper and a farmer. Truman appeared in World War one as a volunteer and after coming back from the war he got married in 1919 in and had started a business. With the declining American’s economy his business was lost after which he performed the judicial task as an administrative judge. Truman was elected as a 33rd president after the death of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1944.
President Harry Truman was justified in dropping the atomic bomb since it saved millions of American lives by ending the war as soon as possible, and established the United States as the greatest country in the world. With the bomb, America could “attack those that have hurt [America]” and save many American lives (Truman, Doc A). As part as revenge for Pearl Harbor, America was able to redeem itself against Japan with this bomb. It would make a statement to the world and force an unconditional surrender from Japan, as fast as possible. That would end the war and potentially save millions of young American soldiers.
Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States and accomplished many great things during his two terms in office. He founded National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the highway interstate, signed civil rights legislation which gave protection to African American voters, and he signed the Atom for Peace Plan which prevented countries from using their nuclear powers. Gutzon Borglum was the artist who sculpted Mount Rushmore. He chose the four presidents which are carved in the mountain based on their role in preserving the republic of our country and expanding its territory. Eisenhower meets these standards with all that he accomplished as president.
Truman’s Policy of “Containment” was made in March 1947.Truman’s Policy had economic, cultural, and political aspects. The Political aspect of his policy was the Truman Doctrine which said that the United States of America would support free peoples who are resisting subjugation by armed minorities or by outside forces or pressures. The cultural aspect of this doctrine was the freedom and choice government versus totalitarian and no choice government, so pretty much, you never got to choose anything and you were forced to do the things that the Soviet Union wanted you to do. Then lastly the economic aspect of this doctrine was the Marshall Plan which said that it would prevent countries from falling to communists and it would aid the Americans. The Marshall Plan also gave $17 billion to 16 countries(not the soviet union).
Theodore Roosevelt or also known as Teddy was the 26th president of the United State of America. Teddy was first elected Vice President in 1900 (A&E). He served under president William McKinley but then was elected to be president on September 14th, 1901 because of the death of McKinley. Theodore Roosevelt had sort of a different childhood from other kids at the time you could say.

Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt is the best President to ever serve the United States of America because of his accomplishments in both his professional life and his personal life, along with his larger than life personality, and also because the American people loved him.
Teddy Roosevelt was born in 1858. He lived in New York city for his childhood. Many things made him such a great president, along with much of the things that he had accomplished. Teddy Roosevelt was president from 1901-1909. He became president after President McKinley was assassinated.
FDR was the 32nd president of the United States, and he's considered one of the most important people in American history. He had some impressive policies during the Great Depression including his New Deal policies, which helped businesses and farmers. This made a massive difference in our country's history and showed how much he cared about people in need. When FDR became president in 1933, the country was going through a really tough time. Lots of people were out of work, businesses were failing, and farmers were struggling.

He was born with poor vision and required glasses, which made him stick out from his peers, he had to work hard to make friends. He graduated from high school in 1901 and attended a business college in Kansas City. By 1906, he has dropped out of college and quit his job to work at his family farm to help his family out.

FDR is the most transformational leader the United States has ever seen. He was elected as the 32nd president of the United States in 1932, during the largest economic crisis the US has ever known, and went on to be elected 3 more times. He proposed record amounts of legislation and established institutions that would outlive his terms of office.
On a cold, September day in Buffalo, New York, a man placed his work-hardened hand on the presidential Bible. A man with a Brobdingnagian personality and a smile just as big.
