The American flags served as a blurred line between patriotism and support for Ted Cruz. When a student asked to be excused and not be forced into apparent political association, they were sternly reminded of school policy. All a student could do to show there disagreement was not to accept the flag.
Have you ever had a heavy backpack? Most students that go to school will experience the inconvenience of heavy backpacks. Schools require students to use a vareity of school resources to complete classwork and homework. These resources include textbooks, binders, workbooks, paper and pencils, and more. All of these resources tend to add up when they are crammed into a students backpack.
The American Flag Have you ever wondered what the American flag means? The flag with fifty stars and thirteen stripes shows more than a large piece of fabric, it means sacrifice, perseverance, bravery and much more. To many it gives motivation to try harder and succeed in anything they put their minds to. That is what this paper will be mostly talking about.
At first I didn’t understand much of what the flag truly meant or
Public schools do not require students to wear uniforms, but public schools do have a dress code which every student must adhere to. People believe there should be uniform because it reduces bullying by instilling discipline among students. Students cannot express themselves and wear their favorite clothes. According to Nancy E. Bailey, PhD, an education author and activist, she states that ,“ Students should learn to make informed decisions about the clothes they wear.”(ProCon.org) Overall, people should consider public schools because of it does not require uniforms.
First, there are many dress code rules in schools. A handful of these rules include, no hats, no illegal substances can be advertised on garments, no sunglasses, and jackets must be worn with good taste (“Student”). Rules directed at a specific gender includes, “Female student can wear unsleeved garments that adequately cover their undergarments” (“Student”), and, ”Male students have to wear sleeved garments” (“Student”). With rules comes opinions, and with opinions comes arguments. Second, Because of these rules there are many people with opinions againsts the dress code policy.
To begin with, students shouldn’t wear uniforms because it violates a student’s right for freedom. For example, quoting, “https://www.greatschools.org/gk/articles/school-uniforms/” by Marian Wilde, “School uniforms violate a student’s right to freedom of expression...makes a target for bullies from other schools, are difficult to enforce in public schools, and are a financial burden for poor families.” This means that some families aren’t able to afford the school uniforms. Which, leads to many students getting bullied for not having uniforms like their
This is one of those debates that happens over and over again. My judgement on school uniforms is a yes and a no. It would stop bullying over clothing but it basically tells the kids that they can’t express themselves at school. School uniforms would stop distractions but the children would feel like they can’t show their differences in clothing like some kids like colorful stuff and some have traditional clothing and some like certain things that they like to dress in. School uniforms are not a bad idea but the flaw is how the uniforms affect the students minds.
I agree with these students and I wouldn’t want to be forced to wear a uniform either. To begin, parents don’t want to pay the extra money for a school uniform. It’s extremely expensive and the student 's parents have to buy even more appliances on top of that. Let’s weigh the pros and cons of school uniforms states, “The cost of uniforms is prohibitive, especially when a family includes more than one school-aged child.”
And So form kids wearing uniform to having free dress uniform should not be required for lack of communication. One reason students from all ages should not wear uniform is lack of expression. greatschools.org by Marian Wilde said... “when a student was sent to detention for wearing socks adorned with the image of winnie the pooh’s friend tigger, the girls family sued the school district for violated her freedom of speech.” This means that kids don 't have a say when they go to school because they have school uniform.
Imagine you are sitting in a classroom filled with polite and poised children dressed all the same in their school uniforms. You feel peaceful and chaos free. School uniforms are required in a lot of public schools throughout all of america, but some aren't. This issue is affecting plenty of citizens throughout the united states. School uniforms should be required in all public schools across the united states because, school uniforms reduce the amount of distraction in the classroom, school uniforms create a positive, no violence culture and climate on campus, and lastly school uniforms end the competition between the rich and poor, weather it being about who has the nicest or most new up to date clothes.
Many students that know uniforms will be beneficially, but don’t agree with school uniforms will continue to disagree with implementing them. It can be easily agreed that school uniforms may take away their self-expression in school, but what matters more in school is the way of learning. It can also be agreed that many students do not accept the self-expression of their classmates and make fun of them. Students, parents, and school administration should be able to recognize the benefits that school uniforms come with.
Should we have school uniforms? it’s hard to think that something as little as wearing school uniforms could help in how a student learns but if you think about it, it affects a lot of things. People think applying school uniforms restricts a students freedom of expression. However it is rather weak argument. Uniforms do not take away a students right.
Many high schools have implemented dress codes that set rules for what students can and cannot wear while on school premises, and yet many people disagree with these policies. Though arguments can be made for either side, a dress code can have a very positive outcome for all parties involved. A fixed dress code promotes professionalism in a learning environment, and contrary to popular belief, it does not limit a student’s freedom of expression. Last but not least it encourages equality and acceptance among their peers. A dress code can be reasonable if used in proper situations that require certain attires.
There have many opinions about college students should wear uniforms or not. It depends on what the people think about it because everyone got a different view. Therefore will have many different opinions. But in my opinion, I think that college students should
