Could you imagine if you have anxiety and your having a panic attack and you did not know what to do, you can not calm yourself down and your cat keeps bothering you but you just want it to go away.Well you should not want your cat to go away because your cat is trying to help you. Though in reality, cats can help people like dogs do. Having anxiety can be hard but, having a cat can help.
Having a cat can be life saving for a person with anxiety. In the article 17 Health Benefits of Owning a Cat by MRI Technician Schools they say that caring for animals reduces stress. “Being able to care for an animal, or having a cat snuggle with you, can help you feel better, and reduce your level of stress. Reduce anxiety: Not only can owning a cat help reduce the stress that you feel, it can also reduce your anxiety. Petting a cat is calming, as are other aspects of caring for cats.”(MRI Technician Schools) This quote proves that cats can be awesome for people with anxiety because high stress levels are not good for anyone. It is important not to have high stress levels because stress can cause high blood pressure, heart attacks, heart disease and many many more.
