In the op-ed piece “A Change of Heart about Animals”, Jeremy Rifkin emphasizes the similarities between humans and animals by providing results on scientific research studies to illustrate that humans should be more empathetic towards animals. In addition, he further explains how research results have changed the ways humans perceived animals and indicates solutions that were taken by other countries and organizations to help improve and protect animal rights. Rifkin provides examples that demonstrate animals have emotions, conceptual abilities, self awareness, and a sense of individualism just like humans. For example, Pigs crave for affection and get depressed easily when isolated, two birds Betty and Abel have tool making skills, Koko
Dogs can specialize in aiding medical conditions. Paragraph one in “5 Things You Don’t Know About Service Dogs” by Morieka Johnson states, “A pooch named Mr. Gibbs totes Alida Knobloch’s oxygen tank so the 2-year-old can dash around with other children.”. Paragraph two in “5 Things You Don’t Know About Service Dogs” by Morieka Johnson explains how Sandra Leavitt, who has a rare seizure disorder, relies on her dog to provide a warning when a seizure is coming. Alida’s story is an inspirational example of dogs helping when it matters most. I think that it is great that Alida Knobloch can play with the other kids despite her condition.
Have you read the book “Everything Will Be Okay” by James Howe? The main character in this book is James. James is a very caring person towards animals because he cares about how they live and about them, he wants to heal and take care of the kitten he found, and last, he doesn't want to hunt and eat animals. James has a warm heart, he cares for animals and would do anything to help them. James helped a kitten he found, even though it was sick and dirty.
"Any glimpse into the life of an animal quickens our own and makes it so much the larger and better in every way”-John Muir. Evidence from Hoot, Temple, and research shows that people can improve their lives through interacting and observing animals, because animals comfort autistic children, help you make new friends, and help you go out of your comfort zone. In the novel Hoot Roy's life improves because of the owls. Temple Grandin has an amazing story, if it weren't for animals she wouldn't be able to do what she can today. Dogs help autistic children feel safe.
How humans and animals relate to one another I learned that one of the ways that people and animals can relate to each other is by accepting one another and not being afraid. Also, I have figured out that if you take a simple and gentle approach to an animal, they might accept you. You have to never give up no matter how many times you fail, just like how Jane Goodall did. In this essay, I will explain to you how people and animals can relate to each other using text evidence.
And make humans want to change. In “Dogs Make us Humans” by Temple Grandin and Catherine Johnson (pg 153). Animals are very helpful and smart and animals help us everyday. “Animals first started to live with people because people needed animals and animals needed people.”

The parent then holds a seperate leash to give the dog commands. Autistic children are often in their own world and do not pay attention to the real world around them. Therapy dogs can keep these children calm and out of harms way. Therapy dogs are most commonly found in schools and hospitals. According to Alison DeNisco in her book Classroom Canines she says that,"On any given day in New Jersey's Randolph Township Schools, one of five certified therapy dogs may sit with a student during a counseling session or help in a lesson for preschoolers with special needs.

Over the course of the last two years, I have been able to participate in each of these types of therapies with the clients. It is incredible to watch a horse or a dog influence a client’s approach to challenges, disagreements and communication problems. The safety created through the animal-handler dynamic gives clients a new type of freedom to build trust and insight into their own impact on the relationship. A horse is especially sensitive to the tone of voice used and emotions of their handler, responding accordingly. This has helped clients build skills for other, often more complicated, relationships in their life.

Throughout history, Sirens have symbolized temptation. They are known to have lured and tempted sailors to their doom with their singing. The significant theme of temptation is present in an epic known as The Odyssey, a poem “Siren Song” by Margaret Atwood, a song “The Cave” by Mumford and Sons, and a painting “Ulysses and the Sirens” by John William Waterhouse. However, because they are different forms of art, they are portrayed in various interpretations (Introductory Subordinate Clause).

While many pet owners claim that their pets actually do make them feel better, there are still some skeptics. However, research studies show that pets do have a very positive impact on various aspects of our health. In fact, according to “In Their Innocence and Wisdom” by Lilly Calandrello, studies have correlated pet ownership with the following health benefits: lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels, better psychological health, lower heart attack rates, higher survival rates following coronary heart disease, enhanced self-esteem and social interaction.
