This is especially due to the expanding numbers of patients that have affected the normal functioning of the hospital system. Starting with the improvement of the emergency department, GGH has focused on the practices that would accommodate the increasing demands for medical services. The lean methodology is one of the implementations that aimed at reducing wastage within the system, in order to create value for the services offered.

There are reforms that are designed to help, but there are still people that want no part of them. The victim has chronic pain, she's been diagnosed with scholasis, spinal scholasis, and has a knee injury that requires she remain in a wheel chair. The victim is able to care for basic needs but needs assistance when she's in her wheelchair. Ms. Larington stated that her mother hit and slapped her a week ago after she found her outside smoking a cigeratte. The reporter stated words were exchanged and the victim was slapped after calling her mother a bitch. The reporter stated her mother doesnt ask her if she's hungry or needs anything and that her mother is hard of hearing.
I grew up in Canada and recently moved to the U.S. just over three years ago so seeing how the Canadian Health care system works versus the American is quite different and of course a lot more expensive. The way the Healthcare system is set up and organized in the U.S., actually ends up depriving a lot of Americans from getting the healthcare they need. An article from the 2009 American Journal of Public health cites that about 45,000 people die annually simply because they do not have health insurance. That was 7 years ago but that number has not dropped dramatically. Healthcare should never be considered a luxury or privilege but rather a necessity for every single human being.
Should the Canadian health care system be privatized? Currently, In Canada we have a universal health care, what this means is that medical services are provided to every Canadian citizen paid for by taxpayers and also by revenues collected from leading industries. As Canadians work longer and live longer, it is of vital importance that health care professionals across the spectrum of services take into consideration a variety of aspects concerning individual health when treating their patients. According to the July findings of a recent survey done by Statistics Canada, “for the first time ever, there are now more people in Canada age 65 and over than there are under age 15” (www.statcan.gc.ca, 2015). The decisions that need to be made in terms of health care will have social and economic impacts that can be addressed through complementary health services such as massage therapy.
