Health education and health promotion activities are a fundamental requirement for all health professionals. Throughout the healthcare industry, registered nurses make up the largest portion, currently ranging about 2.7 million where most of them administer patient care at hospitals as a staff nurses. Nurses frequently emphasize holistic medicine and play an important role in promoting public health. Traditionally, the focus of health promotion by nurses has been on diseases prevention and changing the behavior of individuals but on advancement on the field, their role as promoters of health now has been much more complex. They have multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience of health promotion in their nursing practice and enroll clinical nursing practices, consultation, follow-up treatment, patient education and illness prevention. Over one million people die from mosquito-borne disease every year. In recent years mosquito-borne diseases have emerged as a serious public health problem in countries of the South-East Asia region, including India and Nepal. Many of these particularly Dengue Fever, Japanese Encephalitis (JE) and Malaria occur on annual basis causing considerable morbidity and mortality. Adding to this list ,Zika-Virus has emerged out as a new public health threat. According to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), Nepal , the mosquito linked to the spread of Zika in the Americas, Aedes aegypti, is already present in Kathmandu and other major cities. An EDCD study in 2014 had found a high concentration of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the causative agent of Zika in many crowded city of Nepal , few being Chitwan, Birgunj, Nepalgunj, Dhangadi. Most of these locations fall on the route connecting the Capital with the districts
