In Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Cask of Amontillado,” Poe uses both verbal irony and dramatic irony. An example of verbal irony is when Montresor says to Fortunato, “‘And I to your long life,’” in the catacombs. This was when the narrator and Fortunato just finished drinking their wine and jokingly toasts to Fortunato’s life. When Montresor says this, he is actually saying “And I to your short life,” because he knows Fortunato will die soon. It is like Montresor is using sarcasm.

They furnish the foundation for an adolescent's inspiration and curiosity to be constructed. In America's modern day curriculum though, countless immature students are being enforced to read a series of novels that promote profane and violent content, one being the popularized Fahrenheit 451. Positioned in the 24th century, Fahrenheit 451 apprises the reader about the principal protagonist, Guy Montag. Early within the novel, Montag gains gratification in his profession as a fireman, burning illegally possessed books and homes of their owners.
There is a strong sense of irony in the short story “The Interlopers” because Nature always seems to take its course, especially when the feuding men turn friends think they are in control of the situation. In an attempt to be saved the men issued, “hunting calls” (Saki online). Typically, a hunting call is in an attempt to lure in animals to be hunted and killed. The two men were successful in luring in animals, however, it is likely these animals will not be helpful for the men to surround themselves with. The ending of the story is an example of irony, “Wolves” (Saki 301).
The Ironic Truth Irony is a complex and important element of literature that can help discover hidden perspectives within characters or hide the truth in plain sight. The story by Edgar Allen Poe, “The Cask of Amontillado” is a great example the dark ironic twist that happen in the story. The main character, Montresor, is hell-bent on getting his revenge on the man who shamed him, Fortunato. The verbal and dramatic irony that is being used in the story “The Cask of Amontillado” helps hide the true intentions that Montresor has planned for Fortunato. Verbal irony happens when one character says one thing but actually means something completely different.
Miller uses irony to demonstrate the flaws, the corruption, within the court’s justice system. In this case, it’s emphasized when Giles is found guilty; even though, he did have evidence to prove his accusation. He states, “if Jacobs hangs for a witch he forfeits up his property that's law! And there is none but Putnam with the coin to buy so great a piece”( Miller 89). In addition, he has a witness that heard Putnam thanking his daughter after she cried out on Jacobs.
For example, to get his parents attention the child initiates by throwing his toys on the ground and upon seeing that, his parents does not do anything to discipline him. And because of that, the
David Sedaris’s use of verbal irony achieves the greatest comic effect due to the way he uses it to be humorous and foolish. The irony is the greatest due to the contrast he creates with his words. On page 13, Sedaris states, “Her english was flawless. ‘I really, really hate you.’” (Sedaris 13).

If the activity that they are doing reminds them of something that has happened to them then immediate care and support must be provided to the child. If the children are playing nicely with one another and then a child begins to hit or kick another child then that child that is hurting the other must be removed from the situation as they are causing a barrier towards play based learning. With play based learning it is important that it not cause any harm towards the children and must be health and safety checked beforehand. Therefore, we have a risk assessment to check before the childcare sector opens for the children and parents to enter as well as tidying up constantly.
Understanding the risk and protective factors of child delinquency is imperative in order to create and implement treatment and intervention programs. Because children’s behavior develops during the first five years, it is important to know what risk and protective factors could increase the likelihood of a child becoming a child offender (Wasserman et al., 2003). Moreover, overcoming the risk factors would help prevent the child offender from becoming a juvenile, and later, adult offender. As Wasserman et al (2003) stated, “risk factors for child delinquency operate in several domains: the individual child, the child’s family, the child’s peer group, the child’s school, the child’s neighborhood, and the media” (pg.1). As one can see, children are exposed to risk in partially every aspect of their lives.
"Child Abuse and Neglect" says that Physical abuse can include "striking a child with the hand, fist, or foot or with an object, burning, shaking, pushing, or throwing a child; pinching or biting the child, pulling a child by the hair or cutting off a child’s air." However, physical abuse is considered to be a use of punishment in wrecked as well as normal families such as the use of physical force with the intent of inflicting bodily pain, but not injury, for the purpose of correction or control or discipline. Yet, there is a thin line between physical punishment and abuse which many parents seem to lack notice of. "Child Abuse and Neglect" explains that the level of force used by an angry or frustrated parent can easily get out of hand and lead to injury. Emotional or verbal abuse is one of the worst forms of mistreatment due to its invisibility.
Firstly raise and encouragement are crucial within supporting a child 's development so the child doesn 't search elsewhere for other ways of gaining attention. Praise is important as children can become more critical of themselves and start comparing themselves to other children. Secondly; explanation, this should be enforced so that the children understand why certain boundaries and rules are put into place. For example, the routine of the particular room in which the child is in.
A deaf child again has no opportunity to link in with the others and it doesn’t help. " "if a teacher has no signs or has a lack of awareness. Maybe if they are aware but don’t know the best practice like knowing the language or gestures and they are not always thinking about that one Deaf child. They have another twenty kids to think about and that Deaf child get lost and fall behind. If they fall behind so far, they can become so switch off and even when help eventually have come to them.
