As Helen grew up, she began to learn rapidly. In 1900, she was the first ever deaf-blind person that had enrolled and graduated from Radcliffe college; She then graduated in 1904. Gradually Helen Keller became a famous figure, she expressed her experiences of deafness and blindness through writing and speaking with Annie as her interpreter. Helen Keller was a civil rights activist, she had spoken about civil rights, human dignity, women’s suffrage, and world peace. In 1924, Helen was an ambassador for the American Foundation for the Blind, alongside Helen was of course, Annie Sullivan.
