Helen keller was a great woman who did many things. She changed the way civilization think about deaf and blind people and their ability to do things. While being blind and deaf, she innovated a new way to communicate with disabilities, raised money for young children that were deaf and blind, and was a role model who inspired many around the globe. At the beginning, Helen Keller was an outcast because of a disease she had no control over. Some people thought that she was faking her condition and some thought that she was crazy. She was looked at as an outcast but chose to overcome what people thought to accomplish something greater. June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia Alabama, a healthy baby girl, with the name Helen Adams Keller, was born into the world. But at nine-teen months Helen had been suffering with an unknown illness, that left her both blind and deaf. After that all the way till Helen was six she was a very angry child because she wanted to find a way to express her other feelings, yet didn’t know how. She kicked, screamed, and became a very wild and an unruly child. Until a couple months after turning six, Helen’s father and mother connected with Alexander Graham Bell, who contacted Ann sullivan.

A lady named Anne Sullivan taught her in many ways like reading in braille and feeling objects. It wasn't easy at first, but then she got the hang of it. As we know, Helen Keller suffered from a “Brain Fever” at the age of 19 months and she was left blind and deaf. From this she struggled her whole childhood, she threw tantrums and fits because she could not communicate with anyone else. “ However, she would also get frustrated. She realized that she was different and it was extremely difficult to let others know what she needed. She would sometimes throw tantrums, kicking and hitting other people in anger.”
