Herbert Marcuse discusses modern technology he believes that the technological development will help the peoples Vital needs. Marcuse believes if this is used human beings would not have to work to survive, but as we are well aware this is not happening and probably will not happen. In our society Marcuse believes that the modern technology is being used in society to control and manipulate the people. In our society, we read about the people who need help, the natural disasters that occur in countries, the poverty that is happening around the world. Society feels the need to buy the luxury goods, to show off to accuiqutances of what they can afford or not at times. Many people in my own personal show off the latest wear, when they have a minimum wage job and are still living with their own parents. Even adults who make an okay living believe they need everything new in their life. They have everything new, but then fall into a debt and borrow the money but they do it all over again. Accuqitances feel the need to buy the Michael Kors bag that cost almost three hundred dollars, and then want to say that they are broke to buy anything else. A Personal accuqitance has to have the latest outfits and bags, as her mother would believe she needed to buy these items. Her daughter became adjusted to a life of false needs. This is what Marcuse discuses, that we are in a world of false needs by everything that is around us.
