People all around the world define heroes differently, some demand a certain sacrifice, while others look at more simple things, like moral actions. The Merriam Webster Dictionary and Thesaurus defines a hero as “a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities.” The word comes from the Greek word, hērōs. Its first recorded use in English dates back to the 14th century. Synonyms of the word include, god, idol, icon, exemplar, ideal, and model. Some of its antonyms include, ordinary, coward, villain, criminal, and loser. A hero is often idealised by hundreds of people. For example, the people of the UAE always keep their hero, Sheikh Zayed in their prayers.

In my opinion a true hero is brave, altruistic, compassionate, moral, and is determined to make a change in the world.
I was attracted to two transcend peace hereos, Andrew Benson Greene, Jr. and Candace Lynne Lightner, because they both represented the qualities I see a true hero in, they were both determined to change the lives of others, by helping them overcome the life tragedies and crisis that they have been through, whether it was from unacceptable judgment toward drunk drivers hit and run's or by the effects of war and the violent environment.
