Do you ever dream about how it would feel to be a hero for a day? You could have the courage that others look up to. What about an awesome costume to wear? We are surrounded by heros everyday. Regardless of what you think a hero is or who might be a hero, you will find heroes in television shows and even in the film industry. If you actually think about heroes in a movie to television show you will notice it is a lot more common than we might think. A lot of movies are made based on the theme of a hero. There are a wide range of movies that go anywhere from The Sorcerer's Apprentice all the way to The Santa Clause. He or she must recognize that there is an adventure waiting for them that they are to take. Buddy receives his call to adventure when he finds out he is not really an elf. Papa elf, who raised Buddy, decides that he needs to talk with Buddy about who his real mother and father are. He tells Buddy where his father lives and works and Buddy is set that he will go and find his father, Walter. However, before Buddy can set out to find his dad, Santa tells Buddy his father is on the naughty list. Santa can be seen as a herald when Buddy gets ready to leave because he gives him many different tips and rules about New York City. This is the very beginning of his or her adventure. The hero is finally out and on their own. Buddy reaches this stage when he arrives in New York City. In the movie we see Buddy walking down the streets of New York. He is not acting like everyone else. He doesn’t seem to know or understand why people are doing what they are doing. For example, Buddy starts to walk across a street when he sees a man waving down a taxi cab. Buddy instinctively waves back to the man because in his mind he thinks that the man is waving at him. This stage plays a big part for Buddy because he has never been away from the North Pole before as he grew up their his entire life. New York is a very strange place that he must explore and figure
