Herpes, or Herpes Simplex is a viral infectious disease that results in very dangerous and ridiculous skin infections. The cause of Herpes is the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) and the infections are categorized on the basis of the body part infected by them. Herpes is of two basic types, namely Oral Herpes and Genital Herpes. Oral Herpes is the condition when the infection, in the form of blisters is over the face, inside the mouth, and over the scalp, while in case of Genital Herpes infections are over the genitals as well as on the buttocks. Herpes Simplex Virus is broadly divided into two types, namely Herpes Simplex Virus type-1 and Herpes Simplex Virus type-2 (more commonly referred to as HSV-1 and HSV-2). This virus is very contagious, that is why a majority of the population is infected by the HSV-1 before getting adults. This infection develops in stages. The first stage is the primary infection stage in which the virus enters inside tha body and starts reproducing and causes blisters. The second stage is the stage od latency in which the virus moves from the skin to the nerve tissues in the spines, also known as dorsal root ganglion. Here, it reproduces again and becomes inactiv, until stimulated again by certain body conditions. The third and the last stage is the stage of Recurrence, in which the infected person when suffers certain physical or emotional stress. So, Oral Herpes can be very dangerous skin disaster. But it can be very well managed by the herbal and the natural treatments available for it today.
