In agree with authors’ position on heterosexism in that it is the discrimination of the individual who has a different view about who they are relating to sexuality. The lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and intersexed (LGBTQI) community is often oppressed by society because society often think they are abnormal. Heterosexism is a prejudice that causes distress among the LGBTQI population. Often, heterosexual seems to have more opportunities than LGBTQI people. Hate crimes are prevalent towards the LGBTQI community from the heterosexist.
