This experience helped me more about being the head of an organization. Being about of this club is very beneficial because it is basic preparation of becoming a leader. Being a leader of an organization such a DECA speaks volumes
This project taught me multiple life lessons. These lessons included concepts such as communication skills, detailed planning, leadership, and vital importance of keeping a commitment. My Eagle Scout Project has given me experiences, and vital practice with skills that most seventeen-year old’s do not receive until later in life. The project has helped me grow and mature as a person. Working through this project has provided me with experiences with managerial responsibilities that I can use later in my life.
However, I have also gained many life experiences that some many never have, I have participated in the Ross County Queens’ Contest, went to 4-H camps during the summer, and have had the opportunity to raise and show hogs at the county fair. Additionally being a Camp Counselor, a member of Junior Fair Board, and Junior Leaders great
Chess, national honor society and interact became my archer towers, moats and peasants. Taking these other clubs helped me become more involved in my personal interests as well as societal interests. As chess club president with a dying club, I managed to increase membership from 5 to 23 but not without bringing trophies to our high school. My interaction with volunteers helped bring me to a different aspect of society that I would have acknowledged but never understood, the
Being members of different clubs has given me eye-opening experiences that I wouldn't get anywhere else, and for this reason, I appreciate these clubs so much. Whether I was going on a backpacking trip to Harriman State Park with the Explorers club, learning to dance the Bachata in Spanish club or writing speeches in the National Honor Society. Each club brought a little new different aspect to my life and these clubs really helped me with my goals. At first it was a challenge to put the most effort in something that’s very hard or I don’t know how to do, but these clubs taught me the skills to be able to do that and reach my

I am 14 years old, and am a participant in many clubs such as Latin Club, Drama Club, Speech and Debate team, Marching Band, GSA, and Gender-Equality Club. I also plan to head up a Creative Writing club next year. My favorite clubs are certainly Speech and Debate, and Drama Club. PROFILE My passion in life is working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Since I was in kindergarten I have known I have wanted to become a Special Education teacher. Best Buddies President (2013-2015) PR/Media Officer (2015-2016)
I wanted to start off small and then slowly ease myself into more and more groups and potential employment positions without having to overwhelm myself right away. By doing this, it's really helped me to time manage and balance out my time spent with school, work, hobbies, and my social life. My current job at Oakton has also really helped me improve my social skills. It has taught me how to provide a welcoming work space, and it has taught me to make myself much more approachable. As someone who was a very quiet and in a sense, socially inept person, it's taught me to be more open and welcoming and it's really impacted my life outside of school.
I’m proud to say that I stuck with the things I enjoyed. I know that I would not be the same without having done these things. Extra curricular activities at Elcho have truly enriched my
I have learned great time management skills, I learned different ways of studying material to be able to understand it, I have learned to never give up and the work you put into something results in the outcome. I have completed my BSN program all online so I have great experience with online programs.

I think I might join Accounting Club next semeter.
The members played a big part in this personal growth of mine, as well. I was shocked when random community members would come up to me to congratulate me on a win or ask how the teams are looking. It was important for me to be assured that they care about the things I was doing. These small conversations felt like an invitation for me to start and hold meaningful conversations with adults. Some of the greatest lessons that I have taken from high school are lessons that have nothing to do with the curriculum.
It has hardened me emotionally, making me mentally stronger and able to handle whatever challenges life may bring me. In addition, I am able to adapt to difficult situations. At a young age, I learned to be independent and self-reliant. I understand that life can change quickly, even when I am least expectant of it, but I do not let this scare me. The frequent changes in my life have taught me to search for the positives in any situation.
“Free time? What’s that?” I jokingly asked a friend mid-winter. I was a member of six clubs in high school and it was peak activity season, meaning I stayed after school every day and occasionally until eleven o’clock pm. Although I was very busy in high school with all these clubs, I truly enjoyed participating in all of them and they helped me build confidence in my leadership abilities.
