I listen to rock and punk music when I'm feeling anxious or exercising, soft rock when I am driving in my car on rainy days, and showtunes and pop music when I am in a good mood and feeling expressive. However, I appreciate and enjoy classical music and even some rap and country tunes, and I'd like to think that any piece of music that is intricately written and has a lot of thought put into it is worth praising. I also think that students can receive their own sense of euphoria when they perform with other people, such as when their band seamlessly completes the most difficult of a piece or their choir's chord rings effortlessly throughout a cathedral. As a teacher, I think it is important to activate each student's individualized physiological response by incorporating all types of music into their curriculum, from the most ancient and complex to the most
Rap is one of my all time favorite genres, and I love it all. From the dirtiest lyrics to those promoting peace, this music is apart of my culture. Even though rap music is my favorite genre; my favorite song does not fall under the rap category. The song “Computer Love” by Zapp & Rodger is a song that I will forever love. I even jokingly say I want it played at my funeral.

Music has a certain appeal that is wondrous and so different than any other form of communication.

Twenty-one pilots has been different since they started.

Music is more than that it’s something beautiful produced based on the musicians. For example when we play in class when you feel the emotion and the feeling of playing it’s just so wonderful. Music is the way kids and people show their emotions although even on a bad day we try to play well because we do not want to be the big mess up in class. Music to me is the beginning of my passion. As students, we engage in learning through a more interactive and exciting learning experience.
I do believe that music clears my mind and makes me happy no matter what emotion I have before I listen. It has a certain superpower that can change someone from sad to happy or from depressed to proud in a few minutes if you listen to the right songs or genre. I know that just turning on a song that someone likes can make their day. Music has enough power to get someone to get up and dance and that is special. It can power athletes, singers, actors, doctors, teachers, and anyone.
As a youngster, I have always loved Rap music. I remember waiting for my mom in the car with my dad jamming to SPM, I connected with it instantly, not only with what he had to say, but with every aspect of the beats. The beats made my mind and body move. Ever since that day, I knew why I loved to write and read music. I rather chase and catch my dream.

It’s one in the morning, before dawn. I should be sleeping, but instead I’m huddled in the dark. My eyes blurry, droopy and dead. Sitting next to me; a pair of scissors that I thought then would do me good. You can guess what happened next… the scars remind me everyday.
Growing up I was consumed by an interesting assortment of music. Musical influences were thrown at me from all directions. Having my grandma blasting gospel music and my older sister jamming Disney, music became a very influential part of my childhood.
