The movie “Saving Private Ryan” is historical accurate due to the fact it was based on an actual protocol called the Sole Survivor Rule, portrays the battle of Omaha beach very accurately, and parallels an actual event where the Sole Survivor Rule was used. Firstly, “Saving Private Ryan” portrays the invasion of Omaha beach almost perfectly with only a few inaccuracies. Before the invasion of Normandy, Hitler was convinced that the Allied forces would invade the Pas-de-Calais, the shortest crossing point between England and France. This belief was reinforced by the Allies who went out of their way to persuade him to the point that they built an entire fake army encampment in Southern England filled with balloon jeeps and tanks and even had radio operators who were supposed to give out fake orders to fake troops to move to fake locations all day long.
