Unfortunately her career was cut short by the president of her own fan club, Yolanda Saldívar. Saldívar had been embezzling money submitted by member and of the fan club as well as financial profit from Selena's clothing store.

She did so many tremendous things, influenced so many people, and made such a big impact in the music industry. Selena mainly focused on Mexican music when she first started. She did not always stick to her Mexican culture and Mexican music though. This is the story and background of Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
In addition, in terms of the reader response assignment of Jimmy Santiago Baca, I found it surprising how Baca was originally illiterate and how his times as an inmate in prison had served as a pathway to him to eventually become a writer. Originally, I had some confusion after reading the “Coming into Language” essay excerpt since I did not fully grasp/understood why he was falsely accused as a murderer. In order to clarify and make sense of this information, I referred back to Chapter 9 from the textbook. After reading Chapter 9, I have learned that the possible reason why Baca was a victim of a false murder accusation was due to him being subjected to racial profiling. His status as a Chicano served as an obstacle, but I found it inspiring
In the movie "La misma luna," multiple themes are presented. The film revolves around a young boy, Carlitos, trying to travel from Mexico to Los Angeles to find his mother, Rosaria. Two of the main themes that are shown in the movie are courage and determination. Throughout the film, the theme of courage is displayed in multiple instances.
Ocho Apellidos Vascos is a quirky love story between Amaia and Anxton (whose actual name is Rafa). It begins in a Sevillan bar where a Basque woman is out with her friends. She’s very drunk and has obviously been having a pretty terrible time since her husband-to-be left her with a large sum of debt. An Andalusian man, Rafa, is on stage telling rude jokes about Basque women. The Basque woman, Amaia tells him off.
“My Name” Esperanza has a problem. Esperanza doesn’t like her name she was named after her grandmother who looked out if a window most of her life. The grandmother “was a wild horse”. As the story tells the reader that she would not marry until a man threw a sack over her head,then carried her.

Born as Betty Marion White on January 17, 1922 in Illinois, her family moved to Los Angeles, California during the Great Depression. She began her career by reading commercials for the radio in 1939 when she was seventeen years old. Betty White then started acting in television shows and movies. Since then, she has won several awards and continues to act.
The bright sounds of trumpets ring out, punctuating the sweet melodies of the violins. The guitarist steps forward and begins belting out the lyrics to a son, or traditional Mexican folksong. Meanwhile, a guitarron—a huge bass guitar—provides a steady rhythm, accented by the much smaller five-string vihuela. This is mariachi music! Mariachi music originated hundreds of years ago in colonial Mexico.
La Chingada can take many forms; in this context, it is mother Mexico and La Malinche. Native Mexico and the conquest are obvious examples of a taking, however, La Malinche is all but a personified chingada. Doña Marina (La Malinche) was Hernán Cortés’s personal advisor and Indian mistress. Marina was used by Cortes and became recognized as evidence of the physical violation of women by Spanish conquistadors, or chingones. Paz argues that La Malinche can be seen as the violated Mother of Mexico, while La Virgen de Guadalupe is hailed as the virgin Mother.
Lost In Yonkers by Neil Simon is a charming play primarily revolving around two boys and their relationships with their extended family, while their father is traveling the country selling scrap metal. As any other play would, it has strong characters and weak characters, strong storylines and weak storylines, effective playwriting, and wasted chances. Unlike most other plays, though, this play’s greatest strength is also its greatest weakness. The numerous characters and storylines allow for a storyline or a character that everyone will relate with, but also multiple that they will not connect with at all. Lost In Yonkers, although enjoyable at times, certainly has some obvious weaknesses.
Hey there Sharon. We appreciate so much that you've watched since the first episode. Since the beginning, we've always have tried to not only be a better show, but to get the cars done better; as each and every car we showcase is a real-life client car. We agree that GYC is special because the people involved, and while we wish the old team the best of wishes in their future endeavors, the new team brings their own unique and arguably some of the best chemistry to the show we've ever seen. You say the "fake drama is stupid" but that was the biggest criticism from the previous season, the drama that seemed fake.
As I read the case study of Almeada and baby Anne, I was inspired by her case manager Barbra LaRosa, she provided social care and became the “bridge” between Almeade and the systems. One function of bridging is to narrow the gap between the services being offered and the needs of the individuals who are receiving those services. (Woodside, M. R. (2015). An Introduction to the Human Services, 8th Edition) Ms. LaRosa applied social care to Almeada while she was pregnant with baby Anne, she recognized Almeada's problems in living and since she worked at the school, and Almeada had not returned from summer break, she reached out to her to see what was going on and learn more about her life.
This was definitely the worst Doctor Who show I’ve seen even though I’m not the intended audience for this show and it is generally pretty good for that genre. Considering how good she was as the Doctor’s companion, Sarah Jane is genuinely pretty bad in this. Maria was the plucky young school girl archetype, in which Rani only succeeded in slightly moreso. Clyde was the jokester and was terrible at it, but redeems himself with a few dramatic focus episodes. Luke is far too naïve and clever
When this is brought to life that is what make a difference between a good and a bad show, a key component. Mr. Hale is the character that was portrayed in the worst way, his mannerisms made him childlike and unintelligent. This could reflect the time period but the character had just found a dead body reporting his findings to the officers, he could have been more nervous. Sheriff Peters sent a man to into the Wright home and started a fire there so they could all be warm while investigative a motive, this leads an audience to believe his character was very lax about some procedure and didn’t quite follow all of the rules. The way he was portrayed in this show was more stiff and not so much that way.
