Located in Hempstead, New York, Hofstra is in an ideal location. Just 25 miles from New York City, students can secure internships, explore the city, and experience new attractions in just one bus ride. In addition to Hofstra’s incredible surroundings, this university is built on catering to the students, pleasing everyone who attends. Hofstra University is a place I could see myself participating activities around campus but also focusing on my academics
With the majority of class sizes being under 49, I will be able to have a connection and relationship with my professor that I would not be able to have if my class was double, or even triple the size. This relationship will allow me to explore opportunities for my success in academia and hold the key to my future. With the student to faculty rate being 14:1, I will have a variety of opportunities to meet with my professor if necessary. These employees are not graduate students but full-time faculty. I find having an accessible faculty to be an amazing resource at a university. Another positive aspect of academia at this college is its wide array of undergraduate programs.
