Jessica Mendoza in her blog, mentions that in this novella, Holly Golightly especially challenges the women's activist point of view. Women's activist viewpoint takes into account the break amongst ladies and the general dominion of men inside the male centric social develop. The thing about Holly is that she never finds the need to face her sexuality, and despite the fact that the novella never touches upon the values of contraception, it becomes clearer and clearer that Holly’s misdemeanours is not a fun ride, either for her or the readers, thereby causing her all kinds of trouble in the story. Her social life is not appreciated by the likes of her own neighbours, and they become the cause of her downfall, when they ensure her eventual arrest for being involved with mobsters. Even though her promiscuity has made her a lot freer that she had ever been, but ultimately, she is still submitting to the man centric develop of requiring a man to monetarily bolster her. She is trying very hard to fit in the world, somewhere and somehow, or maybe even have the desire to feel complete. This indefinitely shows that Holly has a much different life than the other women of her time. This can be displayed by the fact that Holly does not feel the need to have a family of her own, or to have a proper job. Contrary to popular beliefs, Holly does not support the women's activist esteems, and she doesn't speak to a rich foundation that adds to the general range of the country of America.
