Over six million Jews died in the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a time that impacted the course of human history. The discrimination the Jews received from humiliation, segregation, and anti-semitism was all just because of their religion. The Holocaust caused people to try and prevent another tragic event. The Holocaust began with one man, was a systematic murder, and ended finally in 1945.

To begin with, the Holocaust started with a single person; Adolf Hitler. He started the Holocaust on January 30, 1933. Antisemitism was at the foundation of the Holocaust. Anti Semitism, the hatred of prejudice against Jews, was the basic tenet of Nazi ideology. This prejudice was also widespread throughout Europe. At this time, Germany was in a time of hardship, needing something to blame for their defeat in World War II, and Hitler was always against Semitism. Many people followed Hitler, and Adolf Hitler blamed the Jews and started a dictatorship. Nazi Germany’s persecution of Jews evolved and became increasingly more radical between 1933 and 1945, creating the mass murder of six million Jews.

The Ghettos were camps for the Jews. They were in terrible condition, with no food or water, making many Jews sick. Many Jews died of thirst and starvation. Later, Hilter decided to kill the Jews. The Jews were sent on trains by the Nazis. The Nazis lied to the Jews and told them they were being sent to a resettlement area. In reality, he had sent them to death or labor camps. However, many Jews did not survive the train because of the compact space and many people suffocated. In the death camps, many Nazis shot the Jews. But soon, they killed them using gas.
