Do rights only pertain to humans? Should animals have rights just like people have there own rights? These rights could be for anything from being illegal to captivate animals, to animals having the right to do what they please. Animals these days, especially farm animals are treated with such abuse. Animals should be treated with more respect, than they are now, they should have their own rights. Not only is this just moral being to treat other creatures humanely but it will definitely benefit people in the long run.

Sea World's most prize possession Tilikum is a whale that over time has became aggressive and mentally ill do to his many years of captivity. Tilikum is now responsible for several people's deaths and till this day is kept away for safety reasons. In the the film it shows the abuse that Tilikum had received from the other whales. He had deep scratches and many scars as a result. If animals had rights, and one of them was against captivity it would have been illegal for seaworld to keep those whales and tilikum would have not became known as such a dangerous whale. This could have prevented many horrible accidents, like the deaths at Seaworld. inc there is real footage on how the animal treatment is on company owned farms. This footage showed how bad the workers abuse these farm animals, there were chickens being kicked and tossed, cows being tipped over, and unhealthy amounts of animal feces everywhere they are kept. All these factors are certainly unhealthy for these animals, there is absolutely no reason for these workers to be treating these animals that way. Whats even worse is that the head people of these companies have no idea of what's happening on these farms and they probably don't even care about what is happening. The company's job is to satisfy the consumer and the consumer wants their food fast and cheap. So many of the big companies like Tyson, JBS, or National Beef believe in quantity not quality. The mass production of these animals is so overwhelming for the workers they grow to have no care at all for the animals. If America were to enforce rights for animals that go against these factors that are put upon theme today this topic would not be an issue.
