The Power of Memory

What is a memory or more of what do memories do? A memory is the remembrance of an event in the past that you remembered in your lifetime. Something that you enjoyed, hated or simply remembered to give you information on a subject. Memories hold lots of power so let's discuss what kind of power that they possess.
Memories can be used when you're going through a difficult time in life and just need to be reminded when life was enjoyable. In the speech Hope, Despair and Memory by Ellie Weisel he talks about how memory is a very important aspect in life. A quote by Ellie says¨Memory saved the Besht, and if anything can, it is memory that will save humanity.¨ The meaning of this quote is that the faith of humans is put into our memories that will heal our souls.Another quote from Ellie Wesiel that backs up my topic is ¨If dreams reflect the past, hope summons the future.¨.
