Sarah Moore Grimké was born on November 11th, in 1792 on a successful plantation in the south, as the sixth child in the Grimké Family. She later became the godmother of Angelina Grimké twelve years later, which also becomes apparent in The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.
