How football players are related to gladiators Some people don't think that football is related to gladiators because football is a team sport effort and gladiators fought for themselves. They may also think that football players don’t strive for blood as gladiators did. Others think since it’s violent that maybe gladiators evolved into football players. Maybe the reason gladiators evolved into football players is because we are less violent now and back then we were more vicious. In any case there are many reasons why football players are related to gladiators.
