The Chinese civilisation was an advanced society, which lasted from 221BCE to 1912CE. They were located in the continent of Asia and did not accept foreign trade. Due to China not accepting trade the British forced China to trade by war, leaving a negative impact on the Chinese from British Imperialism. The main points in this essay will include how British Imperialism affected the Chinese economy, the Chinese Political Government and the Chinese civilisation.
British Imperialism effected the Chinese economy massively when the British invaded China. The Chinese tried to keep isolated from the rest of the world by hiding and taking advantage of their geographic defences and by agreeing to no trade treaties.
