Is shakespeare important to learn? Shakespeare is taught all around the world, but how many teenagers actually understand his writing? Do they relate to him? Many students struggle with Shakespeare. Shakespeare should not be taught in the ninth grade curriculum because its too hard to understand, not relatable, and not meant to be read. Shakespeare is to difficult to understand. “He's an awfully hard man to nail down “(dowell). Shakespeare is hard to understand. The adults lend a patient ear out of a sense of duty and most of the kids (dowell). Teachers don't wanna teach Shakespeare because the feel like its a ssense of duty. Shakespeare is not easily relatable. Shakespeare's way with words can be tough for students to grasp (De Blasis).
