The Red Scare, and 9-11 had a lot of tragic events. The Red Scare occurred because of the fear of communism in the Unites States during 1919-20. America was afraid that of plotting in a revolution. On 9-11 The terrorist did not have the ability to destroy the united states military so they set their targets on symbolic targets instead , destroying both the twin towers, killing and injuring thousands of people. During the Red Scare on September 1920, on Wall Street a bomb exploding and killing 38 people, another bomb destroyed A Mitchell Palmers, and Attorney General home.
Just thinking that one of your family members could be dead right now if one flight wouldn 't have been canceled is kind of a scary feeling. 9/11 changed America forever and it will never be the same. Many people sat in front of televisions and radios listening hoping there loved ones would come home. Some even expected calls. Al Qaeda attacked the WTC for many reasons.
However Japan was responsible for attack on Pearl Harbor. 9/11 and the attack on Pearl Harbor are similar because they were both terrorist attacks. They were both surprise attacks. Both of these attacks were unprovoked. Besides all of these similarities they also have differences.

Date of Infamy Similarities Even though the attacks of september 11, 2001 and December 7, 1941 are different, they are also similar in many ways. They were both targeted to destroy many lives as well as property. The pearl harbor attack destroyed about 2000 lives and a large amount of military equipment and supplies such as 20 american vessels and more than 300 airplanes. The September 11 attack was meant to take big amount of innocent lives including men, women, and children, it took about 3000 lives. Also since the twin towers were financial and business buildings, they meant to destroy the economy of the country.

The events of the day were summarized as 19 militants associated with the terror group al-Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out targeted attacks in the United States. Out of the four planes, two of them were flown into the World Trade Center in New York, a third one into the Pentagon in Washington and the fourth one crashing off course into a field. The attacks resulted in the deaths of over 3000 people and the beginning of a soon to come American counter terrorism policy and the subsequent invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. The morning of Tuesday September 11, 2011 is one of the biggest tradgies of all time. On this specific day four airlines were hijacked by an Islamic group that goes by the name al-Qaeda. The attacks took the lives of 2,996 innocent people, injured nearly 6,000 people, and caused at least $10 billion in infracture and property damage. These attacks, also known as the 9/11 attacks, will forever be remebered as one of the most horrific days for so many people around this world.

One of the most shocking events that until this day still give the chills to many people, most especially in the United States is the attack on September 11, 2001. Many lives were taken, many were left wounded and many families that still to this day do not have closure of a lost one. There are many conspiracies about the September 11 attack that still have many people asking questions. There were a couple things that led up to the attack and a lot of signs that were missed that could have prevented this unfortunate event.
