Al Capone was a American gangster in the 1920s and -30s, and a sirious criminal and threat to the society, and was never found guilty for his worst crimes.

Alphonse Gabriel Capone was born 17. January 1899 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents, Gabriel end Teresa Capone, immigrated from Italy in 1893. In sixth grade Al got expelled from school because he had beat up a teacher. Al Capone ment, as many others, that USA was "the country of opportunities," and the most important thing was to get power. Alphonse discovered that this wasn't easy, as he was bullied because of his ethical background by the fully American kids. After that, Al Capone ment that the only way to get power, was with criminal force.

The 1929 St. Valentine's Day Massacre led to general uneasyness about Thompson's alliance with Al Capone. The massacre was an attempt on killing Bugs Moran, the new leader of the North Siders. The killers had rented an apartment across the street from Moran's headquarters at 2122 North Clark Street, to monitor Moran's movements. On the morning of Thurday, 14. Ferbruary, 1929, Capone's men disguised their selves as police that were about to do a "raid". The fake police lined the seven victims along a wall without a struggle, then killing them with machine guns and shotguns. They did not actually get Bugs Moran.
Photos of the bodies shocked the public, and the photos damaged Al Capone's reputation severely. And it took only a couple of days before he was sent into court.
