Alan Turing, born in 1912, not only helped shape today’s technology but aided the Allies during World War II. Known as a computer scientist, cryptanalyst, mathematician and logician who proved that there does not exist algorithmic method of proving anything is correct in mathematics. Turing and other mathematicians invented a code braking machine that was used to decoded thousands of messages from the Nazis forces. Alan Turing contributions to the world was tremendously important as he helped create the first electronic computing device. Jonas Salk Dr. Jonas Salk is mostly recognized for the creation of the first successful polio vaccines. Polio is a virus that affects people under the age of 20 and it may cause paralysis which at time it can be fatal. He was a well-recognized physician and medical researcher who was working on developing a vaccine to cure the flu with a group of scientists. The vaccine was released in the United States on April 12, 1955. Jonas Salk can be considered a hero to the whole world. He was a great innovator that with hard work and perseverance made a huge discovery for the medicine world.
