Throughout the Renaissance, new techniques were emerging, styles were evolving and new artists began experimenting with old ideas and making them their own. Techniques such as linear perspective and the depth that artists began adding to their paintings and sculptures as part of the idea of humanism that was spreading all over Europe. With that humanism came the influence of ancient Greek and Roman which was where the inspiration for these bronze doors came.
