Hayes PRO: U.S. troops in West Africa to combat Ebola Don’t like what’s happening in West Africa? There is something you can do about it. Help! President Barack Obama is sending U.S. troops to West Africa to try and stop Ebola. President Barack Obama called it a “national security” mission. He think that if he sends U.S. troops to West Africa it was for a wrong reason. But to some people don’t think it is a “national security” mission. troops that he sent to West Africa on a “national security” mission. Some think it was unimportant for president Barack Obama to send U.S. troops to West Africa to combat Ebola “WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is using American troops to combat Ebola to show the world he cares enough to send our best. But he's putting them at risk.’’ This shows that president Barack Obama put many U.S. troops lives at stake of getting Ebola. This also shows president Barack Obama is asking too much of the U.S. troops he sent 570,000 to West Africa to start then cut it down to 440,000. Thus, it is appropriate for the U.S. to provide help when we have the same thoughts on the situation. The U.S. sent help to the 2004 Tsunami in Asia so why not send help to West Africa in trying to stop Ebola. President Barack Obama has a good idea to send U.S. forces, because the Pentagon can quickly send U.S. troops and experts to help local groups to stop Ebola from spreading. The best way to keep Ebola from coming to America is to stop the disease at it’s source which is in West Africa were the president sent the troops. Other ways in stopping Ebola from coming to the U.S. - like banning travel - is much less effective. Even though people think sending the U.S. troop to West Africa is a bad idea, it is actually a good idea, because if you don’t want Ebola in America or anywhere
