The United States of America is a country that had gone through many changes from its inception. It has gone from being a small colony, all the way to one of the largest and most diverse countries in the world. With such access to diversity, it comes as no surprise that the culture has changes and will continue to change for the country. This can be seen clearly in the literature of the United States. With each no generation of writers the style of writing begins to change. It adapted from European writers and as America writers began to emerge; they started to took those styles and make it their own, till American writers had finally developed their own voice. Between livings a normal life of Bruce Wayne, and doing what he wants to do as Batman. As Bruce Wayne he use what society expects him to be to his advantage. Since he is rich, and handsome, He is supposed to be the man about town. He plays up to that part in order to keep people from ever thinking that he is anything more then what he really is. He playing society expectations off of themselves. He understands that he has role to play and play he shall to make sure that he is able to keep being Batman. Then as Batman he is expected to be the person that can instill great fear in to anyone. He uses that to his advantage; if he is able to scare off criminals from an area just by having his presence in the area. It is one less fight that he has to deal with that night. He just has to be careful to never cross the line of killing anyone at least anymore. Which allows him to keep his moral high ground on those he fights. It is the one thing he believe that separates him from criminals. He was expected to always be better than the criminals since he was a hero, and should not ever have to cross the line.
